The 2011-2012 Territorial Broomball Championships were held in Yellowknife, January 27-29th at the YKCA.   Three divisions, Mens, Womens & Mixed will be battling for the title this weekend.

Ladies Division finals:
Nuna Logistics vs UNW/Yellow Dog Lodge Angels, with Nuna winning 2-1 after a 5 minute OT period and a 3 person shootout. Congratulations Nuna!!
Ladies Top Scorer - Sherry Connors

Ladies Top Defence - Gwen Woodward
Ladies Top Goalie - Val Pond

Congratulations to all teams and individual award winners! A HUGE shoutout to the majority of folks who played in two divisions!! That accounted fort 85% of this year's participants. Thanks for another successful broomball marathon weekend and safe travels to our friends from out of town today!

The Junior Boys & Girls Broomball is a program sponsored by the Union Of Northern Workers for kids aged 9-17 years of age.  All Equipment will be provided for the kids and the registration is free - For more information contact Pat Fowler at 873-6735.
