Black Widows Join the West
The WFA is happy to announce its 5th Western Division Team, the Ventura Black Widows. Though a rookie team, the Black Widows have a dedicated and serious owner, Ahmad Newton, who will no doubt take advantage of a huge selection of athletes in the Los Angeles area. Receiving media coverage from CNN at their tryouts, the Black Widows have already been a part of bringing women's football to the national spotlight. "Five Western teams within a 4 hour distance from one another is unprecedented, and we are very excited about the opportunities it brings to all Western owners," states Jeff King, WFA president.
