Valley Kings couldn't keep up with Wailers and fell 16-4 on Sunday

Wailers opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Wailers first got on the board when Rodger singled, scoring one run.

 

Hank Teverbaugh pitched three innings in relief for Valley Kings. The righty surrendered four hits and three runs while, striking out one and walking one Justin Villianueva took the loss for Valley Kings. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out three and walking five.

 

Taylor opened the game for Wailers. The pitcher surrendered six hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking four.

 

Valley Kings accumulated nine hits in the game. Joseph Ruffin, Villianueva, and Rodriguez each collected two hits for Valley Kings. Ruffin, Villianueva, and Ulloa each drove in one run for Valley Kings. Rodriguez stole three bases. Valley Kings ran wild on the base paths, accumulating four stolen bases for the game.

 

Next up for Valley Kings is a night game against The Oaks on Sunday.
