Conclusion at Calvert Hall

Mother Nature wrecked havoc with the 2025 MCBL regular season. Then she soaked the opening round of the MCBL Post-season Tournament. And she just couldn’t help herself, but had to make one last appearance in the finals of the tournament.
However, the two teams left standing in the tournament waited out all the lightning and rain and finally focused on fighting each other for the championship.
In the end, the #2 seed Putty Hill Panthers came out on top, beating DigIn Baseball 10-2 to win the 2025 MCBL Post-season Tournament Championship. It was the Panthers first tournament championship since 2020 and their fifth overall…..tying them with the Baltimore Chop for the most ever.
Although #8 seed DigIn would have preferred a different outcome, they have proven (once again) that teams should never, ever take them lightly……especially come tournament time.
This is the third time DigIn has appeared in the tournament finals…….as the #7 seed in the 2013 tournament and as the #8 seed in the 2024 tournament. They were able to avenge their finals loss last year when they beat the #1 seed Baltimore Chop in this year’s opening round.
But the Putty Hill Panthers also came to play…..not losing a single game in this year’s tournament, while beating every opponent by at least 5 runs.
Congratulations to DigIn Baseball for a great tournament run and congratulations to the Putty Hill Panthers for their record tying fifth tournament championship.
