Good news! Kickball registration for the 2021 Season at Southside will open very, very soon. We are currently working on updating our website and offering a SAFE and Contactless Registration Process.

New this year, you will register ONLINE ONLY! An adult family member will create an account on our new registration site and will be able to register their child (or children) online; all within the same account, everything will be kept together for each family. As we strive to eliminate the need for paper forms and documents, all questions that we usually have on our registration forms will now be online. We will even have a link to upload your players required birth certificate for our records.

Our registration fees for the 2021 Season will be $75 for one child and $65 for each additional sister. Those players that were registered and fully paid in the 2020 Season (shorted by Covid-19) will receive a $20 credit per player. As always, we will be keeping a close eye on all online transactions for accuracy.

Because of the uncertainty of these times in our community, Southside will use the following procedure:

1. Online registration will open ASAP.

2. Parents will register their children by creating an account online and completing registration for each child.

3. NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. This will allow us to determine community interest and develop strategies to cope with a playing season that may have to be different than what we expect at this time.

4. You will receive an email when payment is due (approximately mid March). Payment will be due in full at that time.

The timeline for the next couple of months will be:

February - Online Registration

March 12 - Tryouts/Draft

March 29 - Practices may begin

April 12 - Games begin

Coaches and Volunteers are always needed. Our new website will have a place for parents and willing adults to fill out and submit information to volunteer at our great league.

It takes all of us working together to ensure that we can play safely. We will be posting our COVID-19 Guidelines, but we need your help to make sure they are followed. Looking forward to getting back on our fields soon!

We are excited to be kicking off our 49th year at our very own Jerry Smith Fields! Southside is home to numerous state titles and many more to come. Southside Little Miss Kickball is a member of Little Miss Kickball International, Inc. Southside is the largest of 15 leagues located throughout the state of Texas. We are excited to welcome you to the 2020 season!

Rest in Peace

On May 28, 2019, kickball lost its greatest supporter, Fred Swartz. He passed away peacefully at his home at 5:04 pm. surrounded by family members. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Little Miss Kickball Scholarship

Little Miss Kickball International offers the opportunity to graduating Seniors to apply for several scholarships. These scholarships are awarded at the All-Star Tournament yearly. If you would like to apply, please download the application here. Remember, all scholarship applications are due by April 20th.

Judy Gallagher Scholarship

On April 21, 2008, The Southside Family suffered the loss of a great supporter. Judy Gallagher, wife of Meritorious Board Member Jim Gallagher, mother to veteran player Amy Gallagher and aunt to Trey Hopkins was called home by the Lord. Her impact on our league will not end with her passing. The family has established the SSLMK - Judy Gallagher Memorial Fund. Those interested in contributing to Judy's Memorial Fund can send donations to 905 Miramar Place, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim, Amy, Trey and their entire family.

Our league was honored Tuesday, June 21st at the Nueces County Commissioners Court for it's 45 years of Service to the Community! County Judge Samuel Loyd Neal, Jr. and the Court presented SSLMK President Marianne Mojica a Resolution to honor SSLMK! Dozens of players, as well as parents, Board Members and kickball supporters were present at the meeting. It was great to witness the girls, coaches and others recite the KICKBALL PLEDGE for the Court! Way to go Southside, you make us all proud!
