Twins Close 2013 With Sweep!

The Tahoe Twins held off the Butte Sabres in Game 1 with a 5-4 win. Jesse Hildbrandt threw a solid complete game, allowing only two earned runs. The Twins offense smacked 11 hits to back Hidebrandt, and 3B Junior Ramiez collected his first hit of the season with a smashed single into left.

In Game 2, the offense got off to a hot start, with three straight doubles in the first, and scoring a total of 6 runs, followed by another 5 in the third. Joe Thomas carried a Perfect Game into the 5th inning, exiting the game with two outs in the 5th, having allowed only 2 hits. Jesse Brown made his first appearance on the mound, and promtly delivered a bases loaded strikeout to end the threat. Scott Decker in his first appearance of the season collected 4 hits, including triples in his first two at bats. The Twins pounded out 15 hits to finish off the Sabres with a 12-3 win.

Twins Win 2012 Reno/Tahoe Championship!!!

Jesse Hildebrandt needed only 93 pitches to beat the Reno Hornets by a score of 4-2! It was his 9th win of the season, and 25 of his Twins career! Jesse Brown hit a go-ahead 2-run home run in the 6th inning, and with those has amassed 100 RBI for his time with the Twins. Scott Decker drove in the insurance run in the seventh with an RBI infield single.

The Twins finished the season with a record of 19-2, with a batting average of .343 and an ERA of a meager 1.01!!!
