It is time to start thinking about the upcoming volleyball season. All players interested in trying out for the Tampa Bay HEAT High School Team (JV and Varsity) are encouraged to attend the Tampa Bay HEAT Summer Volleyball Camp June 22nd-25th.  

 

Our teams attend the Clearwater Christian College (CCC) Volleyball Camp each summer. There will be a team tryout on Friday, June 26th, from 1-3 PM, at East Point Assembly of God (5337 Garden Ln. in Tampa,  33610).  This tryout will place the girls for the Clearwater summer camp.

 

Given our continued growth of the HEAT volleyball program, final camp rosters will not be decided until our June 26th tryout.  Therefore we will be registering a bit differently. We will sign up as one group (rather than indivdually), and then notify the camp of our rosters after the tryout. Also we are going to attend the camp as two "varsity" level teams.  This will allow our JV team to take advantage of CCC's advanced, varsity level drills during the individual instruction time run by the camp staff.  Both teams will also play in the Varsity team pools.  We are excited at the opportunity to continue to advance the skills of all our athletes!

Clearwater Christian College Camp Info

     **Overnight Camp July 19-23 (Sunday 3:00pm - Thursday 1:00pm)

     **$325 after June 1, $275 early bird price before June 1, $75 non-refundable deposit required

    

 

So, if your daughter is interested in attending the team camp and you wish to register at the early bird price ($275), please drop off your $75 deposit to the HRC by this Friday, 5/29 or mail to Tampa Bay HEAT, 1011 Knowles Rd. Brandon, 33511. The HEAT will register only those number of players who give a deposit now. You will be able to register at a later time, if you decide.  But you will pay the full price of $325.

Anyone preregistered for the CCC camp that is not offered a spot on the team will have two choices: transfer their deposit to the Day camp (July 13-16) or try to have someone else use your deposit for the team camp.  Please note that these early-bird deposits will be offered to any late registrations, but there is no guarantee that your deposit will be used by another player.

 

If you plan to tryout for our HEAT volleyball teams this season but can't attend volleyball camp and/or tryouts on June 26th, please let me know.
