The Texas Raiders, formed in 2017 and based in Houston TX, started as a semi pro football team of adult men who love the game of football and wanted to continue playing after high school or college.
The Texas Raiders second year will be vastly different as a member of the Gridiron Developmental Foo
tball league (GDFL). They will be traveling to various states to play and be getting greater exposure to the major leagues.
The Gridiron Developmental Football League is a mid-level minor professional football league based in Memphis, Tennessee and the most respected and professional sports league in the country. The GDFL is one step away from the pro's with some players already being signed to the NFL, CFL and AFL.
The Texas Raiders are a non-profit 501c3 organization who rely on team fundraisers, donations and sponsors to assist in paying for uniforms, football equipment, stadium and referee expenses, in addition to bus and hotel costs of our away games.
