X6 wins MLK Tournament for first 2015 Championship
(January 19, 2015, Marietta,GA) Xclusive X6-2021’s season got off to a great start as the group of talented ballers won the 2015 Dr. MLK tournament championship (hosted by the Sprayberry Jackets) and brought home their first piece of hardware of the 2015 travel season.
The most impressive thing was that these young 6th graders played together for the first time this season and “played up” into the 7th grade division against several of the best CCJBC, private school and community based teams in the Atlanta metro area who had been playing together for months!
X6 knocked off North Springs, Cambridge and Sprayberry in pool play and take care of Woodward Academy in the semis and South Fulton 51-47 in the championship. Every member of the X6 team contributed to the victories and showed that if you ain’t with us, “X Gonna Give it to Ya”!
Next up for X6-2021 is a trip to the pretigious, "invitation only" John Lucas Invitational All-Star weekend tournament in New Orleans, LA Feb 20-22 where they'll face several of the most elite 12u AAU teams in the nation. Wish us luck!
