Recently, the 6th Annual “TYLERS TEAM” Charity Poker Classic was held at the Palm Beach Kennel Club.  Players started arriving at 11:30am to check in and register for the event, while others were heading to the beautiful buffet while mingling in the crowd and purchasing their 50/50 raffle tickets. The room was getting filled up as the over eighty five players sat down to play poker to see who would win the cash prize, $580.00 buy-in to the World Series of Poker in August 2016, and the “Tyler’s Cup” trophy.  All players that knocked out the bounties were each given gift cards to various local restaurants and businesses.  Every player also had a chance to win special prizes which included four tickets to Palm Beach International Raceways “Super Chevy Show” and more prizes.

In attendance sitting at the tables, we saw former Miami Dolphin Bob Brudzinski with last year’s winner Ms. Jackie Stone, Ante Up Poker Magazine and Poker Action Line radio show host Dave Lemmon and Rocket Sports & Entertainment radio show owner and host with his fiancé Wendy (the Hockey Hottie) who made the trip over from Tampa, Florida, along with many sponsors, loyal supporters and friends of the foundation and this event.

This year we noticed more women entered this event than in past years and in the end, it was the females that came out to play with the boy’s and they did. Jackie Stone of Port St Lucie took it all the way to ninth place and Erin Coley of Lake Worth took the baton for the girls ending up grinding her way to second place. It was Scott Cadmus taking home the winners cash, WSOP ticket and the 2016 “Tyler’s Cup”.

McLellan adds; “this is a charity tournament, we want people to come in eat, relax, and have fun while playing, this is a great event for everyone, we have our loyal supporting players who have been here since the first tournament in 2011and we see them here every year, and we have our new players experiencing the event for the first time, who are glad they came to the event.  We want to thank all our sponsors, supporters and friends who helped make this year’s event a success”.
