2018 Factory Basketball College Commits

Factory basketball's first team, the 2018 Orange Elite has shown tremendous success.  At this point three of our girls have committed to play sports in college as a result of being seen in our program.

 

Katelyn Sherwood Factory travel basketball Wayne state university commit

 

2018 Combo Guard Katelyn Sherwood (Belleville HS) was the first player in our program to commit to play college basketball.  Kate committed to play womens basketball at Wayne State University in June of 2016 following her Sophomore season.  Kate will be studying pre-med while playing on the womens basketball team.  Go Warriors!

 

Sophia DiMilia Factory basketball University of Detroit Commit

 

2018 SG/W Sophia DiMilia (New Boston Huron) was our basketball program's first Division 1 basketball commit.  Sophia played for Factory Basketball for final two seasons of AAU basketball, and was discovered by U of D mercy this spring.  She was offered a full ride scholarship,and accepted, this summer.  Go Titans!

 

Katie Thirington Factory basketball woodhaven Michigan State university commit

 

2018 PF Katie Thorington (Wyandotte Roosevelt HS) was discovered by Michigan State University's rowing coaches while she was playing basketball for Factory.  Katie only played her final season with Factory Basketball, but it paid off.  Katie committed to Row for MSU for 4 years.

 

These three scholarship athletes bring our athletic scholarship total for our 2018 class to over $275,000.  But we are not done yet.  We still have players on that team who are deciding where to play, as well as a D3 student athlete who still has to finalize where she will be attending college.  Congratulations to our class of 2018 players on their tremendous achievements.  We look forward to seeing what is next in your lives.
