THE ABA™ TEXAS SOUTHWEST DIVISION EXPANDS WITH THE ADDITION OF THE TRI-CITY ALL-STARS™ REPRESENTING THE TRI-CITY REGION NORTHEAST OF SAN ANTONIO.
San Antonio, TX, October 6, 2017 -- The American Basketball Association (ABA™) has expanded and added The Tri-City All-Stars professional mens basketball team representing the Tri-City Region Northeast of San Antonio, TX. Sharon M. Blacknall, part-owner of the highly talented group, VSJ Ballers, LLC, said, “We are extremely excited to represent the Tri-City Region with a great Men’s Professional Basketball team. The nonprofit arm of The Tri-City All-Stars, All-Stars Cares™, will provide basketball camps, mentoring, life skills, and much more through the SCUC ISD which include the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.
The VSJ Ballers, LLC is comprised of seven individuals who bring a wealth of talent and experience to the partnership. The managing partners are Nathan Keselring and James and Sharon M. Blacknall.
●Nathan is a U.S.N. Veteran, Co-Founder and Board of Directors member for The Stars over Texas Foundation and is Director of Rehab for Reliant Rehabilitation. He is also the former trainer and V.P. of Player Development for another ABA Team. ●James and Sharon are both U.S.A.F. Veterans, Founders of the nonprofit, Military Veterans Against Child Abuse and owners of Child Safety Tips and Programs. Also, Sharon is a children’s book author, motivational speaker, safety trainer and the former General Manager of an ABA Team. James is a former Assistant Coach for another ABA Team and currently works for the Veterans Administration.
The other general partners include: ●Former ABA/NBA star and San Antonio Spurs legend, Johnny ‘00’ Moore who played a total of 10 years in the NBA. He is one of an elite group of Spurs players to have their number retired. Johnny’s experience includes coaching at all levels including several ABA Teams. ●Dean Midlick is Co-Founder and Board of Director member for the Stars over Texas Foundation and works for the City of Cibolo. ●Vaughn Coker is a Command Master Chief (CMC) in the U.S. Navy. His Military awards include 3 Meritorious Service Medals, 6 Navy Commendation Medals, 6 Navy Achievement Awards, and an Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. He is also a former Assistant Coach for another ABA Team. ●Mark A. Gonzales is also a Co-Founder and Board of Director member for the Stars over Texas Foundation. Mark is also a licensed Realtor and on the Board of Directors for Texas State Alumni Association.
The Tri-City All-Stars™ Basketball Team will play next season in 2018.
