Hello to "All" of You, prayerfully all is well and you are in great spirits, especially after returning and fellowshipping with our Savior earlier today. Tricity once again I'm pleased with your performances yesterday in Douglasville, from being on time to the breaking down of our area (alot more) I'm extremely grateful for the way our parent group supported our "team moms" (Ms. Moore, Ms. Trapp, Ms. Thomas, Ms. Freeman) who did an awesome task of getting each one of you to your events, staying hydrated, & cheering for your team to victory!!!! In fact, TriCity was the talk of the meet (meet management, other coaches, the timer, the MC) and that along speaks volume. One coach was so amazed that his comment was that "Tricity" was running so well, because they had on all that Black (hot)and was trying to hurry up to cool off!!!! Of cousre I chuckled. But aside from that, TriCity you were amazing especially when it came to giving your all and most importantly your conduct. Special thanks to all of the parents that contributed with the fruits, snacks, water, believe me, I know of the sacrifice that you made in blessing our team.
TriCity we are Blessed to have (Ms. Moore, Ms. Trapp, Ms. Thomas, Ms. Freeman) who have taking me to a place of "relief" so much so that when our full coaching staff returns from HS State competition (the team will grow) that we really won't have to do much to do, but sit back and enjoy the show while taking mental notes on what events that you as a student athlete can excel in and that is worth the price of admission. I'M GRATEFUL!!!!!
The certified National race walking officials who have competed/seen/officated well over 5,000 events from the International, Olympics, Junior Olympics, HS, MS, was so pleased with our racewalkers that they took time to elborate to several of our athletes about perfecting the sport to gain a (Full) scholarship to universities across thia nation, in fact, they thought we were just a racewalking club who they invited to attend several of the clinics hosted AAU/Racewalker of America/USATF/IAAF. The big kicker was when they found out that Tricity have "never" been just a racewalking club nor attended any special kind of sanction clinics they found that hard to believe. So, big time congratulations racewalkers from the record setters (first timers) we left our foot prints in their minds, it reminds me of the old phrase (feet was made for walking, and we 're gonna walk all over you!!!!).
Our relay teams did real well for themselves after Coach Galloway gave them expert insight but better is on the horizon, I'm just so happy that we did not dropped the baton or run out of the zone (first time). Parents on the texted schedule the meet in Orlando has been cancelled but replaced with one in Oxford Alabama (Alabam Heat 3rd Tuneup) 23 Jun, please make the necessary arrangements on your schedule.
Remember that we're not gonna medal in every event or every meet but the journey is to peek at the time of associations, regionals, districts, so don't get discouraged, also Parents I need to get those birth certificates ASAP, the district of Alabama will not extend the deadline until they have verified "everyone" on the team, that is why I must have a copy immediately.
From this letter, there will be a question, that I will ask at the track, the first one will be blessed with 20 American dollars.
Have a great day full of blessings
Coach G
