TriCity, we have another opportunity to show that we care about those who are in need and less fortunate who may be students or not. The governing body of AAU has reached out asking for the following items:

 

We are asking you to donate toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant and soap, hygiene items, along with socks (new or used but clean) gloves and or hats/scarves.

 

TriCity if you can give any of these requested items it would indeed be a blessing to these young people. Often times we take for granted that something so simple as the items listed is a given, yet there are communities all across this land that don't have for whatever reason but mostly homeless and some of them are children, as it is in this case.

 

As one of your coaches, I'm asking if you can spare 5.00 or 10.00 to purchase these items, and get them to me NLT Thursday, I will box them up and send to the AAU Headquarters before the deadline of 1 AUG. It is my belief that giving is a gift of love because our Savior will give unto us much more when it is given ungrudgingly.

 

Practice resumes Monday-Thursday at 6 (Carver HS), which will most likely be our last week of preparation for both the meet on 21 JUL in Alpharetta, Georgia and the Junior Olympics in Greensboro, North Carolina.
