Recently, the 9th Annual “TYLERS TEAM” Charity Poker Classic was held at the Palm Beach Kennel Club.  Players began to check in and register for the event, while others were heading to the buffet while moving in the crowd and purchasing their 50/50 raffle tickets. At 1:00, it was “cards in the air” as all players sat down to play poker to see who would take the cash prize, $440.00 worth of tournament buy ins at the Palm Beach Kennel Club, and the “Tyler’s Cup” trophy, all while having fun and raising money to help keep kids in youth sports.

TMF President, Kevin McLellan as always, was walking around the room taking pictures, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves at the tables while thanking everyone in attendance for their support with various sponsors in attendance at the tables.  With all players sitting at the tables, we saw former Miami Dolphin Bob Brudzinski with other sponsors, loyal supporters as well as friends of the foundation at the event. Each year, any player that knocks out a bounty are given gift cards to various local restaurants, businesses and  massage chips to get a massage from the  in house massage girls of Amenity Pro. McLellan said; “this is a charity tournament, we want people to come in eat, relax, and have fun while playing, this is a great event for everyone, we have our loyal supporting players who have been here since the first tournament in 2011and we see them here every year, and we have our new players experiencing the event for the first time who are glad they came to the event. Every year, we notice more women are entering the event than in past years and we welcome them all.

Through the course of the year, the Tyler McLellan Foundation supports, sponsors, volunteers and collaborates with many different sports groups and organizations to help keep kids in youth sports.  It is through this fundraiser that they are able to do what they do in the communities for the kids. We want to thank our friends at Wellington Roller Hockey Thank you to past president Oren Brenner and new president Tim Taylor for their support again this year.

This year, it was another new comer to the event that won the big prize, Quang “Q” Pham played his way through the day to the final table and played with some very experienced players like Scott Davis who battled him all the way to the final two with Davis taking 2^nd place, Matt Taylor 3^rd place, Mike Albert 4^th place and Renado Labadan 5^th place. This year the top five players all received cash prizes and Pham & Davis each received a $220.00 PBKC Tournament Certificate.

We want to thank all our sponsors, supporters and friends who helped make this year’s event another success for the kids.  A special thank you goes out to the Palm Beach Kennel Club and their marketing & advertising staff Theresa, Sarah & Jeff, all the dealers and tournament director Wil Herrera and his staff who donated their time on that Sunday afternoon to support and be a part of this event.
