Changing Girls Basketball for the Better
2/17/2021by Rich Sherwood

When we started Factory Basketball, we did so because we believed that there was a better way of doing things than what we were experiencing at the time.  Over time, we have continued to inovate in a spirit of continuous improvement to make Factory Basketball like no other program available.

When coach Rich took on the risk or opening The Factory, he went all in to change the way girls practice and train for sports.  The specific reason was to make it possible to provide our Pre-Hab strength training program to reduce injuries in female athletes, and it has proven to be a huge success.  Our vision, though not spoken, evolved into not only changing the way WE train female athletes, but now we want to change the way other programs train their female athletes so that we can ALL reduce injuries in our female athletes.

Unfortunately change is naturally resisted as part of human nature, and therefor other programs will not make these changes unless something disrupts their program and forces them to make these necessary changes.  We believe we are here to be that disruptor.  As we continue to attract the top athletes from around our region to train as part of our program, these other programs will need to offer what we offer in order to compete.  We will then have accomplished our goal.  We love winning games, but that is not what any of this is about.  We are here to help athletes safely reach their dreams and goals, in an environment that allows them to grow not only as athletes, but as individuals, to learn life lessons, and to enjoy the experience, thereby creating positive memories that will last a lifetime.
