TriCity Striders Elite youth track & field team made an impact @ TFCUSA Indoor National Championships, held in Birmingham, AL @ the CrossPlex on 8 Feb (one of the "top 3" indoor facilities in the Nation) found themselves competing with some of the very best in Youth track in the Nation. Teams coming from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Virgin Islands, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana & South Carolina that had over 975 student athletes donning their team colors, pride, enthusiasm!!!!Our team accounted for 20 medals needed a "wheelbarrow" to bring all of the hardware home!!!!The 4x2 relay (Cecilee Cole, Parker Powell, Kyleigh Sheppard, Aryana Grayson) was even blessed to hold the "original Olympic Torch of the 1996" taking first place.

Aryana Grayson(newcomer) 1st place 800m Racewalk & a personal best time of 5:21.48 first time ever competing in track & field, 2nd place 800m,

Kayleigh Sheppard 1st place 4x2 relay, 4th place 200m, 5th place 60m
4-6 yr old awards
Mairo Curry 1st place 4x2, 1st place standing jump, 2nd place shot putt, 5th place 200m,
Emersyn "PJ" Curry 1st place 4x2 relay,
1st place 800m, 1st place shot putt,
2nd place standing jump
As always, I'm grateful for the parents that "supports"
our team & their student athletes on this journey that
one day in the near future that these young girls will
make major impacts not only in sports but the
