BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO JENNA WASYILIK.

Former Calgary Titan, Jenna Wasylik, has made the final cut for the Calgary AAA Midget Fire for the 2016/17 season.  Jenna, like her teammate Kira Makuk (below), was also a very important player for our team last season.  Not only was she the youngest player on the team (and one of the youngest in the league), she was also one of the most skilled.  Her size, strength and skill were recognized by the coaches immediately at our camp and she didn't look back.  She carried on improving throughout the season and was also one of our leading scoring players, as a defenseman, at the age of just 16.

Jenna was overlooked at the Midget AAA try-outs last year due to injury and so the Titans gave her an opportunity to play at a very high level of competition despite her youthful age.  She proved to be most capable and was very accomplished at the end of the year.

This year Jenna was determined to try again to play for a Midget AAA team so she tried out for the Calgary Fire and has made the cut.

So we, once again, all players and staff of the Titans are very gratified and proud to have played a role in the development of Jenna as a high level skilled hockey player and as a person and to witness her success first hand at the Junior level.  We are sure Jenna will be a valuable asset to the Fire and we all wish her and the Fire the very best in the upcoming season and will also be following their season with great interest.
