With the All American Collegiate Baseball League preparing for Opening Week, names of players in the league are starting to surface. One name to remember this summer is Chris Rosa. Rosa has a history with this area as he was a all-star player for the Mooresville All-Americans last year. The former 1st team Junior College All-American will suit up for the Mooresville All-Americans again this summer as a part of the newly formed AACBL.
“I’m excited and hoping for a good summer of baseball,” Rosa said.
Rosa batted .310 for Bluefield College this season, hitting 25 RBIs, and 4 home runs. He also had 25 stolen bases, and was the only player on the squad to play in all 44 games. Rosa ended the year as an All Mid-South Conference 2nd team honoree. The outfielder has known AACBL Commissioner Paul Busa for quite a while and played for Busa last summer.
“Coach Busa is a great person with a great personality. I’ll miss him as a coach, but I think he’ll do a heckuva job as commissioner,” Rosa stated.
Rosa’s baseball experience and potential have him in a position to be a hot prospect to look out for this summer.
“My goal is to put up numbers and see where the game can take me. It’s my dream to go pro,” Rosa said.
