The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles got the Homecoming win Friday night over the visiting Forest Hills Eastern Hawks 47-7. The scoring started early when RB Tyrelle Allen scampered for a TD on the ground to give the Eagles the early advantage. Allens' backfield mate Thaddeus Gamble added in three more TD runs on the night as well.
Junior QB Eason Hardouin had TD passes to speedy slot Tyler Koeman and explosive senior wide receiver James Patrick.
The Eagles defense was quick and callous, lead by a defensive line anchored by Micah Vandeberg and Tyreece Banks. Senior Safety George Bolt had a tip toe sideline interception which stopped one of the Hawks drives on the night.
The Eagles will be on the road this Friday in a key conference match up as they take on the undefeated Thornapple-Kellogg Trojans.
