West Lincoln Rebel Varsity lost the lead late in a 2-1 defeat to Cherryville on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Cherryville batting in the top of the fifth when rain came and ended the Rebels comeback hopes.  The pitching was strong on both sides. Cherryville pitchers struck out seven, while West Lincoln Rebel Varsity sat down three in just 5 innings. Walls started the game for Cherryville. He pitched four innings, giving up one run, three hits, and striking out fiveJonathan Mcswain earned the win for Cherryville. He tossed one inning, surrendering zero runs, zero hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Dallas Bridges took the loss for West Lincoln Rebel Varsity. He threw five innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, striking out three, and walking one.

     West Lincoln Rebel Varsity took an early lead in the first inning. Logan Carpenter's sac fly scored one run for West Lincoln Rebel Varsity.  Cherryville evened things up at one in the top of the second inning. Brent Walls grounded out, scoring one run.

Nathan Beam, Brett Eurey, and Chase Benfield all had one hit to lead West Lincoln Rebel Varsity.
