West Lincoln Rebel Varsity defeated Lincolnton 8-1 thanks to a strong start. West Lincoln Rebel Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Logan Carpenter drove in one run when he singled. Carpenter's single in the first inning, and a stolen base by Dylan Smith in the first inning, helped the Rebels get off to a good start.
West Lincoln Rebel Varsity scored three runs in the second inning. One of the runs came scored on a fielder's choice by Dallas Bridges.
Dalton Brooks earned the win for West Lincoln Rebel Varsity. He tossed seven innings, surrendering one run, seven hits, striking out seven, and walking just one. Williams took the loss for Lincolnton. He went three innings, surrendering seven runs, seven hits, and striking out one.
Bridges and Dylan Smith each drove in two runs to lead West Lincoln Rebel Varsity. Lincolnton collected seven hits. Lane Hover and Williams each collected multiple hits for Lincolnton. Franklin went 0-for-3 at the plate but he led the team with one run batted in.
