League History  

 

In 2020 the old Eastern NY Connie Mack & Mickey Mantle League celebrated its 50th birthday. Once a 6 team community-based 16u & 18u league, we've had over 40 teams and now offer 5 age divisions that proudly represent Eastern NY and beyond. We're now the Eastern NY Prep Baseball League, still the oldest amateur wood bat league in the area sanctioned by the AABC & Babe Ruth League. We host their states and regionals, the Empire Cup, All-Star Games, PBR NY Scouting Events, and more on some of the area's best fields.

 

Steadfastly supported by high school programs and coaches throughout Section 2 of the NYSPHSAA, our league has always provided a viable path for players of varying abilities to grow in the game while pursuing their goals of playing or coaching at a higher level. Our teams have won dozens of state, regional, & national championships, & hundreds of our former players have filled collegiate and professional lineups & rosters nationwide. The cooperative partnership we've had  with the Empire State Baseball League(8U-12U, sanctioned by Little League & Cal Ripken) since 2009 helps us maintain a community bond in today's travel baseball landscape. We're the first and only league of almost every ballplayer in the 518 since 1971...
