LTFL Pillars of Excellence
- Athletic – LTFL is a recreational league, and for most kids it’s their first football experience. Our coaches teach fundamentals and prioritize player safety at all times. Regardless of where they begin, our athletes are challenged to improve on every level including: knowledge of the game, physical conditioning, personal discipline, team work and sportsmanship. The kids play hard, have fun and strive to win Super Bowls. Win or lose they gain positive, lifelong memories that only football can offer.
- Academic – Every one of our athletes is a student-athlete. That means school work is imperative. Our coaches encourage players to get homework done before practice and to do their best in school. LTFL requires all players to provide their teachers with contact information for coaches and LTFL President. We also celebrate academic achievement, recognizing students for effort and achievement in the classroom.
- Social – Football is the ultimate team sport and provides a wonderful platform to teach personal responsibility, respect, character and unity. Growth in these areas is crucial to success in football and in life. Good players make great citizens.
- Spiritual – As an all volunteer organization, LTFL recognizes the importance of service to others. LTFL strives to demonstrate the importance of humility, service and love. While LTFL does not endorse any particular religion, we do encourage players and families to live out their faith even in the football context. And we look to partner with local churches and service organizations whenever possible.
LTFL Vision
LTFL is a strong league with a rich history that is always striving to improve expand our program. We have three specific goals:
- Even more kids– LTFL believes every kid that wants to play should have a chance to play. We are blessed with wonderful facilities and great coaches. We have plenty of capacity to serve more players and cheerleaders.
- Even better services – LTFL strives to continuously improve the playing fields, facilities and equipment to keep the players safe and serve our families well. We also push to help our coaches improve their skills, and we are working to make athletic training services available.
- Even bigger impact – From field to home to school and beyond, LTFL players are making marks all around the area. LTFL is working to ensure the marks we make are positive, and we are purposeful in our efforts to involve community partners.
