The Minnetonka Millers were one of the original Riverview League teams which organized as a Class A conference in 1976. The Millers call beautiful Veterans Field in Minnetonka their home and derived their name from the Minnetonka Mills area that their original park was located upon. The Millers play approximately 50-60 games per summer against league opponents as well as top Class A & B teams in the state. The Millers boast a roster of current and former Division 1 and Division 2 college players including eight ex-minor leaguers at the current time. There are several former Millers currently playing professional baseball and many who have played previously. The Millers Hall of Fame includes two ex-Major Leaguers, Mike Mason (Twins, Cubs) and Steve Comer (Rangers, Indians). The Millers have had a lot of success over their history including 26 Riverview Championships, 13 Class A State Championships, 4 Class A Runners Ups, and a 3rd Place finish. The majority of this success has taken place over the last 20 years in which the Millers have become arguably the most dominant team in the state of Minnesota. Over that time frame, the Millers have compiled a record of 809-155 and have won 26 Riverview Titles, 13 State Titles (97, 98, 99, 01, 03, 04, 06.07.09.10, 2012, 2015 & 2016) four State Runners-Up (1979, 94, 96 & 2014), and a Third Place finish (95). Minnetonka became the first team in State Class A history to win three consecutive State Championships in 1999, and the 1999 team was  presented the Team of the Century Award by the Minnesota Baseball Foundation and Ball Diamond News. The Millers are self-funded and mangaged by Kevin Hoy. The team was initially organized by Doc Quain and sponsored in the early years by the Tonka Bottle Shop. Team colors are Royal, Black and Grey. Information on the Millers can be found in the book "Bushville, Life and Times in Amatuer Baseball," by Jerry Kelly, published by McFarland & Company Publishers.  The team has had five players who have  been selected to the Minnesota State Class A Hall of Fame, (Kevin Hoy, Chris Urbain, Tony Richards, Mark Young and Matt Parrington.)     Since May of 2007 the Millers have been playing home games at Veterans Field, a $4.5 million turf ballpark located at Minnetonka High School.
