OSTBA exists to teach and promote the game of baseball in an environment that fosters competition, individual development and instills the importance of being part of a team. The final number and level of traveling teams offered will be decided by the Surge Traveling Baseball Board on an annual basis and will be determined by registration numbers and talent level.  Traveling teams will play league and playoff games vs. surrounding communities in, but not limited to, the New Jersey area. The Surge Traveling Baseball season offers opportunities for practice throughout the year and typically holds a spring season, March - June and a fall season, September – November.  In addition, Surge Travel Baseball teams also typically play in weekend tournaments, with the opportunity of up to 5 tournaments in a calendar year. Some of these tournaments may be played in the summer months.
