Rising from the ashes of old PCBL Diablos franchise, and infused with a hearty helping of fresh blood, the Mudhens returned to the PCBL for the Fall 2006 season. Led by manager Adam Grayson and Kurt Larson, the Mudhens live by the credo, "Hey, it can't be worse than the last Diablos season."
Ben Purer took over the helm in 2008 and had tremendous success as manager. Purer lead the Mudhens to the playoffs in each of his seasons as the skipper. In the Fall of 2008, he guided the Hens to the championship with a 14-12 win over the Expos. The Mudhens returned to the title game in 2009 but fell to the San Marino Titans in 11 innings, 9-8.
Jeremy Basis took over the reigns in 2011 with Keith Rhoades and Bobby Musgrove serving as assistant coaches. Basis had early success as the Hens advanced to the title game. The men of mud fell to the Brooklyn Bums 13-11 at USC's Dedeaux Field. In the Fall of 2011, Basis decided to play the short season in Triple A. The Mudhens held their own but were eliminated in the 1st round of the playoffs by the Platoon. In 2012, the Mudhens returned to play in the Double A division and once again found themselves in the championship game. This time around, they took home the hardware after a 13-6 win over the Lugnuts at Clearchannel Stadium in Lancaster.
