2021 Robbinsdale Whiz Bang Days WOODY Wood Bat Tournament
July 9 & 10th, 2021, Spanjers Park, 4519 Lake Dr, Robbinsdale, MN
USSSA RULES WILL BE USED WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
1. GAME TIME LIMITS will vary for Winner’s Bracket & Loser’s Bracket
a. 55 minute time limit for Winner’s Bracket games, No new inning after 50 minutes
b. 45 minute time limit for Loser’s Bracket games, No new inning after 40 minutes
c. Game time is forfeit time
2. 3-2 No Courtesy, 2nd strike foul ball is dead
3. 2 Home Run Limit – Hit + Sit
a. After limit, over the fence Home Runs are OUTs
4. RUN RULE: 20 – 15 – 10 after 3 – 4 – 5 innings
a. Flip Flop: YES
5. Courtesy Runners
a. Up to 2 courtesy runners per inning, last out
6. Bat entire roster
a. If batting more than 10, any injured player will shrink line up around said player
b. If EJECTED PLAYER involved that spot will be an OUT for that game only
i. Any players ejected before, during, or after a game for UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT
will not be able to participate with any team remainder of the tournament and must
leave the tournament grounds immediately.
c. Minimum 8 players to start
i. If playing with 8, the 9 th batter is an out
ii. If playing with 9, no penalty
7. All teams must use only the bats provided by Tournament Director
8. All Players are Restricted to ONE TEAM ONLY
9. Remember, an Umpire’s calls (favorable or not) are part of the game
a. Tournament Director reserves the right to EJECT ANY PLAYER WHO ARGUES WITH THE UMPIRE
10. Tie games will use international rule:
a. Last out on second base - one out - one pitch
11. Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the tournament format to complete the tournament
in a timely fashion due to circumstances.
a. This could mean going to a One Pitch format, adjusting length of games, dropping the losers
bracket, or any other method devised by Tournament Director
12. Alcohol allowed behind the benches. Food trucks will be on site food/drinks available.
13. Any rules not covered here; Tournament Director will have final say.
14. Please CLEAN up your area and move quickly off the bench to keep the games moving and on time.
15. Don't be Softball Guy.
