Mariners were victorious against Hops 5-3 on Sunday.

 

A single by Zach Daniels put Hops on the board in the top of the first.

 

In the bottom of the first inning, Mariners went back into the lead after Mariners scored on a wild pitch, and Johnny Espinosa grounded out, each scoring one run.

 

Mang tripled to right field, which helped Hops tie the game at two in the top of the second.

 

Hops took the lead in the top of the sixth. Hayden Bleecker doubled, scoring one run, to give Hops the upper hand, 3-2.

 

Mariners scored on a wild pitch, which helped Mariners tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth.

 

A single by Ben Glaser gave Mariners the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the seventh.

 

Stephen Crane earned the win for Mariners. The hurler allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking none. Ian  Johnson pitched three innings in relief for Mariners. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs while, striking out five and walking one. Eli Thaler stepped on the mound first for Mariners. The starter surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Connor Nelson stepped on the bump first for Hops. The pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking none.

 

Mariners tallied nine hits in the game. RIch Lizarraga and John Lim each collected two hits for Mariners. Espinosa, Glaser, and Crane each drove in one run for Mariners. Lizarraga, Nick Hand, and Lim each stole multiple bases for Mariners. Mariners ran wild on the base paths, collecting nine stolen bases for the game.
