Today was a great day to be an Owl. I had a meeting with 70 middle school players that are interested in playing in our middle School league. The high school team also had their first preseason workout. The energy and enthusiams was tremendous. This is a very focused mixture of veteran players and talented young guys. The next few weeks many things in our program will begin. Be looking for info on our annual apparel order. The middle school parent meeting will be on Wednesday January 29th in the SHS Commons at 7:00 and middle school practice will begin on Sunday February 2nd.
The SHS Baseball Staff is really excited about the present and the future of Seymour Owls Baseball.
Coach Richey
The summer season has begun. The Owls are competing everyday to get better on the field and in the weight room. The Hoosier Hills team is competing during the week against several teams on our regular season schedule, the Legion team is playing on the weekends, and we are lifting every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
We have selected the motto "We Don't Rebuild" for the 2014 season. We lost 9 seniors and we are going to miss them, but that is not an excuse. Our players understand that "faces change, but results will stay the same." The coaching staff is excited about the players coming back and we are trying to improve each player everyday both physically and mentally.
