It was a tale of 2 halves.  Brockport outscored and outplayed Olympia 6 - 0 in the first half of this contest.  Olympia woke up in the second half and outscored and played with a very tough Brockport team 2 - 1.  This game was a great example of how a soccer match is 80 minutes long.  Not 79 minutes, not 40 minutes, but 80 minutes.  If you don't come to play for the full 80 minutes, your chances of walking away with a victory diminishes with every second that ticks on the clock.   Brockport played 80 minutes and Brockport won with a final score of 7 - 2.

Keeper: Pat Zachmeyer - 15 saves (Made a brilliant save on a penalty kick!!)

9/25/08: Olympia @ West Irondequoit (Away)

Olympia played their strongest game of the year to date.  A very even first half saw both teams miss on some great scoring opportunities and lead to a 0 - 0 halftime score.  Both teams played very hard and had some great combinations.  With 18 minutes remaining in the second half, West Irondequoit found the back of the net as a man went unmarked to the six and recieved a ball from the endline and placed it in the back corner.  West Irondequoit would finish the scoring and lock the game up with 5 minutes left as they ripped a shot that Pat Zachmeyer was able to dive and block, but couldn't control the rebound as they followed their shot and scored the clincher.  Olympia played a great game in a losing effort 2 - 0.  It has shown some of the growth and improvement by the team as they came very c lose to beating the same team that had beaten them 5 - 1 in the first game of the season.
