Olympia vs. Churchville Chili
Olympia kicked off their season at home against Churchville Chili on a nice sunny afternoon. Errors would cost Olympia today and after only 5 minutes of play a goal keeping mistake led to a Churchville-Chili goal. This would impact the team as they allowed another 3 goals before halftime. Olympia put forth a lot of effort in the second half but ran out of gas as Churchville just ran them out with their substitutes and ended up scoring 4 times in the second half.

Olympia vs. Athena
Olympia hosted Greece Athena. It was Athena who came ready to play as they would start the game off with 3 first half goals in the first 25 minutes of play. Olympia created several chances with shots taken by Danny Dang and Miralem Buljina however nothing came of them. In the second half of play Athena would have great possession and capitalize for 4 more goals on several scoring opportunities. Olympia keepers Chris Stanton and Ashton Payne made several wonderful saves throughout. Result 7-0 to Athena.

Olympia vs. Arcadia
Olympia traveled to cross town rival Arcadia for a beautiful sunny afternoon game. Olympia came out flying in the first 10 minutes of play pressuring Arcadia’s goalie who made 2 great saves off shots from Rider Rodriguez and outside midfielder Kamry McFadden. Arcadia would then come down the field and score on a difficult high floating ball that keeper Chris Stanton couldn’t reach. Arcadia would capitalize on a defensive miscue to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. In the second half it was all Arcadia who took advantage of a depleted Olympia squad with limited subs available due to injuries and absences. Final score was Arcadia 8-0 over the Spartans

Olympia vs. Greece Odyssey
Olympia started the game out strong holding possession and creating several good opportunities early on but it was Odyssey who struck first in the fifteenth minute on a high floating shot that goalkeeper Chris Stanton misjudged and went over him and into the net. Olympia continued getting several chances with Sophomore Rider Rodriquez playing one of his best games of the year and coming close to scoring in the 21st and 23rd minute of the half. However it was Odyssey who struck again off a corner kick scramble in the 26th minute. Olympia would continue to put the pressure on the Odyssey defense as team captain Dylan Borrelli and forward Danny Dang both would have shots saved by the Odyssey keeper. Odyssey would close out the half with a breakaway goal in the final minutes of the half and take a 3-0 lead into halftime. Both teams started out the half going back and forth with no real possession and in the 52nd minute Odyssey capitalized on poor defending as their forward was able to take down a high ball and turn to volley it into the left corner. Olympia continued to push for their first goal of the season as Miralem Buljina an 8th grader hit a rocket in the 57th minute that struck the crossbar and was later followed up by Sweeper Robert Semple’s shot from 40 yards going over the goal. Odyssey would score two more times in the 60th minute and again in the 73rd minute to beat keeper Ashton Payne to the short side making the score 6-0. Olympia showed heart never giving up and it was again 8th grade call up Miralem Buljina shooting a laser to the upper right corner which Odyssey goalkeeper had difficulty with but was able to punch it away. Olympia would continue putting the pressure on for the final few minutes of play having 4 corner kicks in the final minute but couldn’t capitalize on them.

Olympia vs. Spencerport
Olympia was host to Spencerport on a brisk Saturday morning. Spencerport came out playing very strong and physical and held possession of the ball until they got their first goal of the game coming in the 12th minute of play. Bad marking in the back led to an open player who headed home the first goal of the game for the Rangers. Lack of possession was the issue with the Spartans as the Rangers of Spencerport held the ball for the majority of the game. Constant scoring opportunities were allowed to happen for the Rangers and they didn’t miss their mark. Spencerport would go on to score 5 more goals in the first half alone. Ashton Payne got the start in goal in the second half for the Spartans and did an admirable job as he made some good saves. Final score resulted in a Rangers win 10-0.
Olympia vs. Brockport
The Spartans traveled to Brockport to play their match and to get an opportunity to see the Varsity team in action under the lights. Olympia started with good interplay by sophomore Danny Dang and brother Duc Dang playing some great thru passes that Danny was unable to convert. Brockport would go on to score two goals both off of headers in the first half. The first was on series of passing combinations that led to a great cross across to the far post that was headed in. The second was off a corner kick to the near post where the player was left unmarked. The second half began with Brockport scoring a quick 3 goals in a 5 minute lapse of defense by the Spartans however the Spartans remained composed and pulled it together to threaten thereafter. For the final 35 minutes of the game the Spartans led in shots 13-2 however they were unable to connect and get a goal. Several Spartans put forth great effort including but not limited to Robert Semple, Miralem Buljina, Duc and Danny Dang, and Gerard Rosati. Result was 6-0 in favor of Brockport.
Olympia vs. Gates Chili
Olympia played host to Gates Chili in a divisional matchup. Olympia started the game off strong finding themselves threatening the Gates keeper early on and earning several corner kicks. It would be Gates who got on the score sheet first however around the 25th minute mark on a scramble in front of keeper Chris Stanton. Gates would go on to score twice more before the halftime whistle. Sweeper Robert Semple and fullback Mohammed Marini played solid defensively and midfielder Kamry McFadden was relentless on the flanks. In the second half it would be Olympia who got on the score sheet with their first goal of the season scored by Danny Dang assisted by 8th grader Miralem Buljina on a great pass that put Danny on a breakaway situation with their keeper. Despite the constant effort put forth by the Spartans the physical Gates team were able to muscle themselves to two more goals in the second half to come out of the game with the win 5-1.
Olympia vs. Odyssey
Olympia took the brief bus trip to Longridge to play Odyssey in another Greece vs. Greece matchup. Both teams traded attacking the goal for the first 20 minutes of play. Odyssey would break free by slipping behind the Spartans defense to score their first goal on a nice shot that was slotted into the lower right corner past goalkeeper Chris Stanton. 10 minutes later Odyssey would get their second goal off a nice shot from 25 yards out that went to the upper left corner past the outstretched arms of the Spartan's keeper. Odyssey took the 2-0 lead into halftime. Olympia would start out the second off strong using controlled possession to advance multiple times up the field and threaten however Odyssey's keeper came up big multiple times. Several shots were taken by Rider Rodriguez, Danny Dang, and Miralem Buljina. Odyssey would capitalize on a mistake in the back to score their third goal of the game. Olympia continued to put pressure on Odyssey but were unable to get one in the net as Odyssey would finish with another goal with 10 minutes left. Olympia playing as tough as they have all season still never gave up and finished with pride as they continue to work hard up until the final whistle. Odyssey over Olympia 4-0.
Olympia vs. Hilton
Olympia played host to the Cadets from Hilton in this divisional matchup. Hilton was able to gain possession in the first half controlling the ball for several minutes which led to their first goal on a high floater that goalkeeper Chris Stanton couldn't reach. Olympia would try to tie the score but it was forward Rider Rodriguez missing the goal on narrowly on two different attempts. Hilton would score its second goal of the match on a shot from inside the box that was thru traffic and goalkeeper Chris Stanton couldn't see. The second half started off with Olympia taking and controlling the midfield throughout the run of play. The Spartans midfield and forwards started clicking and worked a series of passes up to 8th grader Miralem Buljina who struck a shot from distance that was too high for the jumping goalkeeper to pull the Spartans within a goal. Olympia continued to pressure and were able to tie the match up at 2 scoring his second goal of the game was Miralem on a wonderfully placed shot. Olympia would have the momentum for the next 5 minutes of play and had several scoring opportunities but a nice save by the Cadets keeper and a quick punt upfield led to a counter attack which Hilton capitalized on and took the lead. Hilton would go on to put one more past the Spartans for a 4-2 win.
Olympia vs. Churchville
Olympia traveled to Churchville for a game to be forgotten. The Spartans were dealing with very windy 40mph winds against a very strong and talented Churchville team. Olympia would struggle to get any offensive attacking in the first half as Churchville dominated ball possession and anything in the air going on to score 5 goals before halftime. Dealing with some injuries Olympia would try to adjust their lineup in the second half and got some offensive sparks with Sophomore Danny Dang scoring two goals late in the 2nd half both on hard work and persistence. Churchville however would come away with the win 9-2.
Olympia vs. Athena
Olympia played against host Athena on what was to be very sloppy field conditions. Regardless the Spartans had their hands full playing against a pumped up Trojan team who were ready to take on their crosstown rival. Several great saves from Chris Stanton kept the Spartans in the match for the first 15 minutes but some questionable play and emotions led to Athena getting the best of the Spartans in the first half with goals being scored by 4 different players for the Trojans. The second half was no better than the first as Olympia allowed an early goal within the first 2 minutes to bring the score to 5-0. Athena wouldn't back down and would continue to take it to the Spartans and their backup keepers Ashton Payne and Pedro Torres as Olympia would go down losing to Athena 10-0.
Olympia vs. Arcadia
Olympia hosted Arcadia in one of their final home games of the year. Olympia were rejuvenated from several players returning to the lineup. The Spartans came out flying and took the lead off a series of one touch passes from Sophomore Danny Dang and 8th grade sensation Miralem Buljina that led to a Duc Dang diagonal ball in which Rider Rodriguez tucked away for the goal. Arcadia would come back and tie the game at one after a wonderful cross found their player on the back post for the header. Olympia would not give up and get another goal from a strike by Miralem Buljina to take a 2-1 lead. That lead would not last long as Arcadia came back and tied it at 2 before the half. The second half started with both teams jockeying in the midfield for ball possession and nothing materialized on either end. Arcadia would soon find their rhythm and maintain some ball possession against the Spartans who started to break down defensively and would give away the lead. Freshman Duc Dang and Sophomore Danny Dang would try to rally the Spartans but to no avail. Final score Arcadia Titans 5 and Olympia 2.
Olympia vs. Spencerport
Olympia traveled to host Ranger Stadium for most of the players first game on turf and on a lighted field. Olympia would play against a very good Ranger team who had dominated them in their first meeting early in the season. The Rangers would do the same tonight with very good ball possession and team defense. Olympia never gave up and got several scoring opportunities from Robert Semple on set pieces and by forwards Miralem Buljina and Danny Dang. Olympia however would go down fighting losing the game 12-0.
Olympia vs. Brockport
The Spartans hosted Brockport in a game that was almost called due to poor weather and field conditions. Olympia was looking to avenge a loss to Brockport earlier in the season but it was Brockport who came out ready to play. Brockport capitalized on a bad clearance inside the penalty box that their forward buried into the net. This momentum was just enough to get things rolling for Brockport as they would go on to score 3 more times in the first half. Several great stops were made by keeper Chris Stanton as the field conditions only worsened. The second half brought out some new hope for Olympia as they created several good opportunities including Robert Semple's free kick near midfield that hit the crossbar and Miralem Buljina's shot that went wide of the post. Later in the second half Duc Dang played a ball into brother Danny who beat a defender and was taken down inside the penalty box for a penalty kick. Danny decided to let Miralem take the kick but he was unable to convert. Brockport came away with the win but Olympia never gave up. Final score Brockport 6 - Olympia 0.
Olympia vs. Gates-Chili
The Spartans arrived at Gates-Chili on a nice sunny day. The Spartans started the game with only 2 subs available and injuries and lack of available players really plagued the Spartans today. Several mistakes and lack of concentration led to Gates having their way with Olympia today. It was a game to be put in the back of their minds to remember as Olympia was outscored 9-0.
Olympia vs. Hilton
Olympia went to Hilton for its final game of the season. The Spartans jumped off to a slow start as Hilton jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of play. Several defensive miscues and lack of communication led to 2 goals in the first 5 minutes of play. Another goal was scored off a great thru pass to an onrushing attacker. The Spartans never gave up however as they continued to show grit and pride for each other. The Spartans were able to score two goals in the second half. It was Danny Dang getting on the score board off a great pass from Rider Rodriguez which created a one on one with the goalkeeper. Dylan Borrelli's great hustle and determination got the Spartans within one of a well hit shot that was struck outside the 18 yard box and went into the lower left corner. Olympia would continue to press and got caught upfield as Hilton found one of their forwards with a great long ball to get a 2v1 on keeper Chris Stanton. Hilton and Olympia would continue to trade shots on each others goals and it would be Hilton getting another in the final minutes of play to finish the scoring and getting a win with the final being Hilton 5 and Olympia 2.
