I've been playing softball most of my life. I started out at a very young age and now that I'm in my late 50's, I've found joy in traveling to play as well! I've had my current glove for almost 10 years and it's really worn down. I recently discovered Gordon at A1 Glove Repair, and what a blessing it has been! I needed new strings for the entire glove as it was starting to unravel. Gordon also added padding, which the glove never had, and repaired the Velcro that attaches at the back of my hand. He also repaired my thumb and pinky straps. It looks like a brand new glove and I'm very happy with it. I recommend A1 Glove Repair to anyone in need of bringing their old glove back to life!

My son has been playing ball for about 5 years now. The last couple seasons he grew into a family glove that was passed to me from my father and I passed to him. It's a black Rawlings four finger outfield glove, very well broken in and loved. The laces however were not hanging in there and he busted the finger laces just before his last game. With tryouts for the next season only days away Gordon restrung and refreshed the leather making it look like new and had it ready before the tryouts. A1 does great work for great prices. So glad I found this gem of a business.

My daughter had her big softball playoff game on Monday night. On Monday morning, while getting some extra practice in, a ball snapped the top lace holding her Rawlings glove's webbing together. She was so upset, but I was hoping she could still play with it. Little did I know. Then another throw snapped two more laces and the glove had fallen apart! She literally could not catch a ball! Desperate and frantic (and just 8 hours before gametime), I had to do something, as this glove, between it being completely broken in and fitting her small hand perfectly, is irreplaceable. No substitute will do.
I discovered Gordon and A1 Glove Repair online and he graciously offered to repair her glove that same day! I couldn't believe it! Not only did he do a great job (his attention to detail and craftmanship is impeccable), but his pricing was very reasonable. He is also so knowledgeable about gloves -- he recognized my daughter's model right away and knew exactly what to do. And the best part is my daughter's team won her game that night in large part to an amazing catch she made in the last inning!

Daughter was playing Sheer Madness tournament in Elyria. Friday afternoon around 6pm, her glove breaks. She's freaking out and I'm scrambling to find a fix that evening. She needed it by 645am the next morning. Parents told me about A1. I called and he said stop by. We did that evening and immediately knew Gordon knew what he was doing. We left the mitt overnight, and picked up at 615 the next morning good as new. Gordon is an absolute magician. Her glove was good as new and the price was crazy reasonable. He worked a miracle and his knowledge and experience is unmatched! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I play Co-Ed Rec and Women’s Rec/Tournament Softball. Got a new glove a couple of seasons ago that I had broken in pretty well. I came across Gordon who looked at my gloved and asked, “How would you like some more flexibility and feeling in the thumb and pinky when you catch the ball?” I play outfield so that advantage helps when diving for a ball and potentially not being able to see it. I agreed, and he had it done the next day. Strings were tightened and flexibility was incredible. Played in the next league game and dove for a ball. When the ball hit the glove, I felt the instant feedback and the glove wrapped around the ball. Much better feeling than catches in the past. Going to definitely have him restore my old college glove and refer him to anybody I know who needs glove work.

I have been shopping and looking for recommendations for my son's baseball glove, as you would’ve thought he had been using it for the last 30 years, however he’s only been using this glove for 3 years and it looked terrible. I kept getting directed to A1 Glove Repair and I must say I was not disappointed. Gordon did a fantastic job and definitely brought the glove back to life. When we got the glove back, I was beyond amazed at the work he has done. Not only did he replace it, but he also restored it, and it felt as if it needed to be broken in once again. When I gave it to my son, man was he excited! I would recommend A1 Glove Repair a million times over. You can see the pride Gordon takes in his work. He is very professional and the communication between him and I was seamless. I will be taking my softball glove to A1 to get restrung and restored.

My son was invited to play in the All Ripken Games in Myrtle Beach this past weekend (April 5-7). While practicing to get ready for this event he broke the lacing in his glove. Everyone we contacted said it would be 2-4 weeks to fix his glove. Mr. King was understanding of our situation. Mr. King relaced 95% of his glove in 48hrs of me dropping it off to him. Without his services my son would have missed this opportunity. We recommend Mr. King for any glove repair services that you might need. My son’s team took 2nd place and was named one of the players of the tournament.

I was referred to Gordon by a friend of mine who had his son's glove recently relaced. He was quick to respond to my texts and was able to fit me into his busy schedule. We talked about baseball and he filled me in about some fun facts about gloves that I didn't know. He was able to quickly turnaround my son's infield glove and it now looks brand new for being four years old. I have some vintage youth gloves he is working on as well, and I can't wait to see how those turn out!

Gordon was AMAZING!! Our puppy chewed up my daughter's glove on a Friday evening. My daughter had a camp at Coastal Carolina the following weekend and we thought it was impossible to find anyone who would take on the project of trying to repair a ripped off thumb and chewed up glove. But Gordon performed the impossible, and in record time! The glove looked better than it did when we took it to him and it was ready to go a couple days before we needed to leave. He was a life saver!!
I would recommend him to anyone who needs a glove repair. He's an honest guy, who does an amazing job and at a great price. His wife is also very sweet and enjoyable to talk to. A great couple and an awesome person to repair your glove.
