Bradley Carpenter

A 2009 graduate and All-Conference selection from West Lincoln High School, Bradley Carpenter signed with Frank Pait to pitch for Catawba Valley Community College in their inauguaral season.  As a freshman:  Bradley had a very successful season coming out of the bullpen for CVCC.  He finished the year with a 4-1 record while striking out 20 batters while walking only 11.  He was 3rd on the team in appearances with 19 and finished with a total of 33 Innings Pitched and a 6.41 Earned Run Average.  As a sophomore, Bradley became the team's closer and lead the team in appearances and saves.  It was this success that caught the attention of Montreat College of the Appalachian Athletic Conference where Bradley signed to continue his baseball career.  As a junior at Montreat, Bradley led the pitching staff with 31 appearances.  Of those 31 appearances, 30 were in relief, where Bradley had 3 wins, 1 loss, and 3 saves.  He managed to throw 42 innings in which he gave up 42 hits, while holding his opponents to a .268 average.  Bradley's 194 batters faced was a team high among relief pitchers as he established himself the team's number 1 option out of the bullpen each day.  As a senior, Bradley had another good season coming out of the bullpen, earning himself the honors of Montreat Pitcher of the Year.  This success did not stop on the field and Bradley also finished his career with Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Academic Honors.
