Code of Conduct

PacRim Sports Basketball League 


Code of Conduct:

  

1.  Captains will be held accountable for the conduct of himself, his team, and the team's fans.

  

2.  Captains are responsible for all communication and grievances.

  

3.  Captains are considered the sole representative of the team.

  

4.  Captains are responsible to see that the team is informed of the "Players code of conduct" that lists infractions and penalties associated with each code.

  

5.  Any person ejected from a game - whether before, during or after a game, will automatically be suspended from the next scheduled game as well as placed on probation for the remainder of the season.

  

6.  A second ejection will result in suspension from further play in the adult basketball league.

 

 

7.  At no time shall any player, coach, manager:

     a.  Lay a hand upon, push, shove, strike, or threaten to strike any staff, official, player or spectator

     b.  Refuse to abide by an official's decision.

     c.  Heap verbal abuse to any staff, official, player or spectator.

     d.  Demonstrate unsportsman-like conduct by throwing foreign object(s) or by any other forceful action.

     e.  Be guilty of unnecessary rough tactics against any opposing player.

      f.  Use profane, obscene or vulgar language, nor use hand gestures at any time.

     g.  Appear on site in an intoxicated manner.

 


Penalties:

1.  The degree of the infraction will determine penalties associated with it.

 

2.  Minimum penalty will be a warning, maximum penalty may be up to a 12 month suspension from league play.

 

3.  Players with ongoing ejections or ejected for fighting will be required to submit in writing a letter including his/her intent for continued play in the adult sports program.  This letter must be signed by both the player and manager for which he/she plays prior to reinstatement.
