Played on the Nelson Maple Leafs in the Western International League.
Served as the goaltender for the Lumberjacks from 1977-1980.
Earned a bachelor's degree in industrial education and physical education.
Served a the NAU head coach for the 1980-81 season.
Was an assistant for the Jacks' NCAA Division I team from 81-86.
Coached former NHL standout Greg Adams at NAU.
Coached for the Flagstaff Youth Hockey Association (FYHA) in the 80s and continued through 2003.
Returned to coach the NAU club hockey team in 2008

The Flagstaff Sports Foundation inducted its third annual class into the Flagstaff Sports Hall of Fame on Aug. 3, 2008.
The FSF has inducted five people or teams into its Hall of Fame each year since its inception in the winter of 2007. The 2008 year class included NAU president John Haeger along with former Lumberjack trainer Mike Nesbitt, who was with the university for 37 years. Other members of the class include former high school football players David Carder and Ray Smith along with former NAU hockey player and coach Doug Allan.
