Philosophy:
We believe God created every person as a unique, valued child of God and is filled with God-given promise and potential.
We believe that the term “peer” relates to the young and old and that we can all demonstrate Eagle HOPE to the peers God has brought into each of our lives.
Purpose:
To Honor God by embracing that He creates all of His children uniquely different; to embrace our unique interests, abilities, disabilities, diversity and spiritual walk.
To create an environment of interaction, encouragement, friendship and mentorship between GRCHS Football Team Players with a Middle School Student of differing abilities and life circumstances.
To enrich the lives of all involved.
To create a model for Eagle HOPE to become part of any team or program at GRCHS.
Plan:
The principals of Grand Rapids Christian Middle School and Rockford Christian Middle School will identify students through teacher and parent input that could benefit from involvement in Eagle HOPE and will extend an invitation to the parents and the student.
Each Middle School Student who accepts the Eagle HOPE invitation will join an Eagle HOPE Team which consists of 4 to 6 Varsity Football Players that have been selected by their coaches.
Activities will include: *

Getting to know each other through demonstrating an interest in and attending several of each other’s activities and invitations to football-related events.

4 free home game tickets for Eagle HOPE Middle School student and up to 3 family members.

Eagle HOPE T-shirts

Weekly connection between student and players during the football season.

Invitation to join the Monday football team devotion hour.

Invitation to join the Thursday Varsity FB team dinner.

Post-season activities as determined by individual Eagle HOPE teams.

The end of season Football Banquet.
*Families of Eagle HOPE Middle School Students are invited to be involved! Join us at games, the Thursday team dinners and the end of season FB banquet. Other events will be posted as they become available.
