Below please find the schedule for the mandatory skill evaluations being held Saturday, AUGUST 2nd
Here are a few notices and reminders for the evaluation:
*NON-COMPETITIVE DIVISIONS PRE-K THROUGH 1ST GRADE DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND!!
- Be prepared to stay the entire scheduled evaluation time.
- Be sure your player is wearing comfortable basketball attire and basketball shoes.
- Bring plenty of water
DO NOT INTERRUPT THE COACHES OR DIRECTOR DURING EVALUATIONS!!!
The Director and coaches are extremely busy during evaluations and they need to focus on evaluating players. Do not interrupt them with questions during this time. Any questions can be directed to the assistants helping at check-in in the lobby. Or, you can email info@cybhoops.com after the evaluations with questions.
MANDATORY SKILL EVALUATION:
CYBL would like to make sure all teams are formed as equal and competitive as possible therefore ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for all players registered new or returning!! Specific team/player/coach requests may NOT be considered if player does not attend Skill Evaluations & policy will be strictly enforced.
**REQUESTS ARE NEVER GUARANTEED**
Please arrive early. DO NOT be late. Review the schedule carefully and make sure your player attends the scheduled date/time for their division. Player must check in any time between the listed check in time below to be evaluated. Late players may need to wait until the next scheduled time to be evaluated. Players who are unable to attend the mandatory evaluations should contact the CYBL office.

3rd/4th GRADE BOYS & GIRLS:
Check – In Time 8:15am – 8:45am
Evaluation Time 9:00am – 10:00am
7th/8th GRADE BOYS & GIRLS:
Check – In Time 9:45am – 10:15am
Evaluation Time 10:00am – 11:00am
1st/2nd GRADE COMPETITIVE:
Check – In Time 10:30am -11:00am
Evaluation Time 11:15am – 12:15pm
HIGH SCHOOL BOYS & GIRLS:
Check – In Time 12:00pm - 12:15pm
Evaluation Time 12:30pm – 1:15pm
5th/6th GRADE BOYS & GIRLS:
Check – In Time 12:30pm – 1:00pm
Evaluation Time 1:15pm – 2:30pm

FOR EVENTS TAKING PLACE AT THE SIMMONS CENTER!!
- ONLY water is allowed on the court/gym floor. No other beverages allowed!!!
- Brown chairs that are in the sitting area/lobby of the gym are NOT allowed on the court. Do not move these chairs onto the court!! You are welcome to bring your own chairs as long as they have a rubber base on the bottom that will not scratch the floors.
SEATING ON THE GYM FLOORS MAY BE LIMITED DURING THE EVALUATION PROCESS!!
IMPORTANT REMINDER AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR SKILL EVALUATIONS
ALONG WITH FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. Are skill evaluations Mandatory?
A. YES!! The skill evaluations are mandatory for all players competitive player NEW or RETURNING!!
The best way for us to get an accurate rating on skill level is for the players to attend the skill evaluations in person.
Specific team and or player requests may not be honored if you do not attend the evaluations.
2. I requested to play with a certain team or coach and my coach says I do not need to attend the evaluations?
That is completely FALSE!!!!! Coaches do not determine whether their players can or cannot attend the evaluations. NO player is “excused” from attending.
3. How long will the evaluations take?
A. We have allotted 1 hr to 1 ½ hours for each specific division from check in & to complete the evaluation. Coaches and evaluators are looking for specific individual skills during the dribbling, shooting, passing and scrimmaging stations to make the process run smoothly and efficiently. The actual evaluation process should take 15-20 minutes once your player begins their individual evaluation.
4. Will I be notified on how my player performed during his/her evaluation process?
A. No, players will not be notified on how they performed individually. They will be placed onto a team accordingly and contacted by the coach.
5. When will I hear from a coach and when will practice start?
A. Please refer to your welcome letter for exact dates.
6. I want to request to play with a certain player or coach.
A. If the request was not originally noted on your players registration form, you can email us at info@cybhoops.com with your players name and request. We will try our best to update the registration form and accommodate your request however we can not guarantee as requests are NEVER guaranteed.
7. Does my player need to bring anything to the evaluation?
A. Players do not need to bring a basketball, they are welcome to bring a bottle of water and must be in basketball attire (basketball shoes, t-shirt, basketball shorts)
8. My player is registered for the pre-school through first grade non competitive division, do they need to attend the evaluations?
A. No, they do not need to attend the evaluations. The evaluations are for the first through 12th grade competitive divisions.
