Frequently Asked Questions

There are a lot of times, during the year, where the Organizers of the GHL are asked questions about the league. Here are a few questions and answers we wanted to share with the players.

 

Why do you run the league once during the year (one season per year)?

In order to keep the hype around the league and its anticipation during the year, we feel it is best if the league is run once during the year. If the interest level is there, we are considering running a second season (GHL Season 6) after the month of Ramadan.

 

Why are there so few teams (Four)?

The number one priority of the league is to keep it competitive and clean. The league for that reason is by invite only. We feel that the more people we invite the less competitive it becomes. With limiting it to 36 players (8players and 1 goalie per team) the talent level of the league is great. Each game becomes much more fun to play because the games are so competitive.

 

Why are the playoffs one game elimination?

The NFL style playoffs makes every minute of the game important. It does not allow teams to start playing well in game 2 or 3; the one game elimination allows any team to bring forth there best roster and effort for one night and be rewarded for it.
