Frequently Asked Questions

 

 

1) How old do you have to be to play?

         48+ (Must turn 48 by the end of the calendar year) Beginning the 2024 season each 50+ team may have (2) 48+ players that cannot pitch. Each 60+ team may have (2) 58+ players that cannot pitch. 

 

2) How do I join the league?
       Just click on the "registration" tab at the top of the Homepage and fill out the form or you can email us at: adultmensbaseball@gmail.com  and someone will contact you asap.

 

3) How many games will I get to play?
        The regular season will be 10-12 games (depending on number of teams) then we will have a league tournament at seasons end.

 

4) How much will it cost me to play?
         Cost will vary from team to team according to how much sponsorship the team acquires. Teams with no sponsorship will cost players app. $200 - $250 for the season but most teams have at least some sponsorship. Fees pays for fields, balls, umpires, Insurance, awards and league expenses.

 

5) What If I Haven't Played In A While?

       Welcome to the crowd. Almost everyone now playing in the NC/SC Baseball League had not played for a number of years. If you played some high school baseball, you probably won't have any trouble competing. Actually, there are some good players in the League who were outstanding athletes in other sports, but never played baseball during their youth. Give it a whirl; there is no cost to tryout.

 

6) How competitive is the league?

          There are players at a variety of skill and experience levels. Most players had some high school    experience and maybe college. This league may not be for you if you have NEVER played at a competitive level but many haven’t played in 10, 20 or 30 years. After a few practice sessions and a few games most players find the game comes back to them and they can compete at their age level! The league is designed for a competitive level with the main focus being on enjoying the game that we all used to play and enjoy as kids.

 

7) When are the games played?
      The bulk of the games will be played on weekends, some Sunday afternoons, some Saturdays, there will also be a few night games during the week.

 

8) Can I play on the same team with my friend?
       We welcome individuals as well as pairs, groups or entire teams to join together.
