GUSA 5 v 5 "Spring Classic"
Tournament Format:
A unique competitive opportunity for players in elementary, middle and high school. Each team should register 4 field players and a goalkeeper. Games are 15 minutes long and played on smaller fields (40 x 30 yds) with regulation sized goals. There should be plenty of scoring, highlight saves and dramatic finishes.
Why should you participate in this tournament?
- Very cost friendly. At about $20 per player ($100 for team of 5, $120 for team of 6, your kids will get a minimum of 7 games (15 minutes each) plus single elimination tournament if you qualify.
- Super competitive. Hosted by GUSA, we are encouraging the best of the best school and club teams and players to participate to become the Spring Classic Champions.
- Quick and authentic offense: Using the large goals on the smaller field will encourage a lot of offense, plenty of great shots, combination play in the box and finishing around the goal. Improve your skills around the net....turn your strikers and midfield into scoring machines.
- Defending around the goal: Improve your marking and 1 v 1 / 2 v 2 defending skills.
- Goalie work: Every goalie in this tournament will get their share of work in the net, and can even improve their abilities with the ball at their feet....should they leave the net from time to time to get in the attack.
