A local high school has a fantastic new indoor batting facility thanks to the MRP Design group in Marietta. They recently completed volunteer work on a 5000 square foot indoor batting facility for North Cobb High School in Acworth Georgia. The facility provides offices for coaches, a large locker room for the varsity players, two full length hitting tunnels and a full length pitching area.
Jonathan Edwards, Jess McCullough, Bob Bear, and Tom Weiner are engineers for MRP, and they provided services free of charge to assist with this local community project. The facility is already paying off as the North Cobb varsity team made the
semi-finals of the Georgia AAAAA State tournament for the first time since 1966! Way to go NCHS Baseball players!
The MRP Design Group has supported the North Cobb High School baseball team for over seven years with the President of MRP Design Group, Ken Dalton, being an officer of the Booster Club for three years. The first picture below is of Ken throwing the first pitch for North Cobb High in the quarter final of the state tournament game.
