A 2006 graduate and All-Conference selection of West Lincoln High School, Johnathan Wise earned a scholarship to continue his baseball career at Mars Hill College, where he would play with former Rebel Cody Branton.  After a semester and what looked to be a promising career, Johnathan chose to transfer to UNC-Asheville and concentrate on his academics.
