As the parent / legal guardian I am expected to conduct myself accordingly, as outlined below:
1) I (and my guests) will conduct myself (ourselves) responsibly at all practices, tournaments, and events.
2) I will remember the game is for and about the players and not the parents.
3) I recognize that the Ohio Outlaws team managers and coaches are volunteers and that I will positively support those who are working with my daughter.
4) I will be a positive role model at all times and promote good sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy to players, coaches, game officials, and other spectators throughout every event. I will display and instill in the players the principles of good sportsmanship and team play. I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any player, coach, game official, parent, or spectator.
5) I will teach my daughter to play by the rules and to resolve conflict without resorting to hostility or violence.
6) I will demand that my daughter treat other players, coaches, game officials and spectators with respect at all times.
7) I will discourage any behavior or actions that would endanger the health and well being of any player.
8) I will demand an environment for my child that is free from profanity, drugs, and alcohol and I will refrain from their use at all Ohio Outlaws events.
9) I will place the emotional well being of my child ahead of my own personal aspirations in order to allow my child to be successful as a member of the Ohio Outlaws.
10) I will not publicly ridicule or demean my daughter or others or talk negatively about Ohio Outlaws players or opponents.
11) I will communicate any concerns to the team manager, but not while in the presence of the players. Should I have a complaint or problem, I will share a suggested solution.
12) I will leave the coaching to the team manager and coaching staff. I will not interfere with team strategy or coaching decisions, such as texting coaches during a game or being critical of coaching decisions made. Any questions or concerns will not be discussed with the team manager and/or coaching staff within 24 hours (1 day) following the game / tournament.
13) I will respect the team's dugout and refrain from entering from the pregame through completion of the game unless requested by the team's coaches.
14) I will accept and teach my child to accept that not everyone can start a game.
15) I understand and accept that no player is guaranteed playing time. The coaches will determine the best players to play during the season for each game. I may properly communicate concerns to the team manager, but the team manager's decision is final.
16) I will strive to do my best to always support and promote positive encouragement.
