3 games guaranteed unless adverse weather shortens Tourney.  Individual Awards for 1st and 2nd place teams

 

 

   

Our tournament will be held at Trussville Sports Complex, 4613 Riverbend Road, Trussville, AL

Each team receives three free Weekend Passes.  There will be sign-in sheets at both gates to receive these passes.

 

Gate fee at Trussville Sports Complex will be $8.00 per day, or $12 for the weekend (if applicable). Children 12 years or under are free). Each team will get three free weekend passes.  There are 4 batting cages.  Restrooms are located by concession stand. 

 

Absolutely NO GRILLS ALLOWED IN THE PARK.

No pets allowed. Smoking (e-cigs, vaping) is not allowed in the park, but only at designated areas.

 

 

Tournament Rules

1. In General, Trussville Rec Rules located under Policies/Forms tab on TGSA's website apply unless modified below. USA Softball rules apply if not covered below or by Trussville Rec Rules.
2. Rosters must be submitted online.  No pickups allowed, unless a team has less than 9 players for 8U, 10U and 12U and less than 10 players for 6U.  Two teams are not permitted to share players.
3. All POOL games will be 60 minute time limit (finish batter).  Can end in tie.  Maximum run per inning is 7.
4. All BRACKET games for 6U-12U will be 65 minute time limit (finish the inning). Maximum batters per inning is 10. (10U, 12U & 15U no run limit). Mercy rule: 12 runs after 3 innings; 10 runs after 4 innings; 8 runs after 5 innings.
5. 6U – 10 batters or 3 outs, and up to 10 defensive players in the field, but 4 must play in the outfield if you are utilizing a catcher.  If you are not utilizing a catcher, 5 defensive players must be in the infield and the other 5 defensive players in the outfield.
6. 8U - Coach pitch only. 10 batters or 3 outs.  Bat your entire lineup, and up to 10 defensive players in the field, but 4 must play in the outfield.  A catcher is required to play on defense.  You may move your pitcher to 10 feet directly behind second base.
7. 10U, 12U & 15U – All USA Softball rules, including infield fly rule and DP/flex. No run rule limit in bracket games, but mercy rules in effect.  Play 9 in field, unless coaches agree to more than 9.
8. Please enter and exit the dugout as quickly as possible, to keep games on schedule.  There will be 10 minutes between each game.
9. Home team will be decided by coin toss in pool play.  In Bracket play, higher seeded team is Home team. Home team is official scorekeeper.
10. Ties in bracket play will be decided by using International Tie-breaker (after time limit) inning until winner is decided, meaning last completed at bat goes to second base with no outs. Coin toss decides who is home and visitor.
11. Individual awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place teams.
12. NOTE: if a team forfeits a pool game for any reason, the game will be recorded for winner as 7-0 win and loser at 0-7 loss.

Seeding will be determined by:

1. Won/Loss record
2. Run differential (+7/-7 max)
3. Runs allowed
4. Runs scored
5. Coin flip
