LTFL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE LTFL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INVALIDATE ANY APPLICATION THAT DOES NOT MEET ALL OF THE LEAGUES REQUIREMENTS FOR A VALID APPLICATION.

 

I UNDERSTAND THAT LTFL REQUIRES THAT A VALID NONRETURNABLE COPY OF A PLAYERS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND PROOF OF GRADE MUST BE ON FILE.

 

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE LTFL REQUIRES ALL PARENTS TO ATTEND A PARENT MEETING BEFORE A PLAYER IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN THE LTFL.   I AGREE TO ATTEND THIS MEETING AS REQUIRED.

 

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE LTFL REQUIRES ALL OF FORMS TO BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY IN ORDER FOR AN APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED VALID.

 

I UNDERSTAND THAT PARENTS MUST PROVIDE: HELMET, SHOULDER PADS, PADDED PRACTICE PANTS, PROTECTIVE CUP AND MOUTHPIECE.

 

BY AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS I AM AFFIRMING THAT I AM OVER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN [18] AND THAT I AM THE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE PLAYER BEING REGISTERED. I ALSO AFFIRM THAT ALL THE INFORMATION THAT I PROVIDE TO THE LTFL IS TRUE AND ACCURATE TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE.

 

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO ALL THE INFORMATION AND RULES AND CONDITIONS LISTED ON THE FOLLOWING FORMS.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP FOOTBALL LEAGUE (LTFL)

PLAYER AND PARENTAL CODE OF CONDUCT

 

LTFL is committed to creating a positive learning, enjoyable environment for all its players, families, volunteers and fans. In order to promote and preserve this environment all parents and/or guardians of players are by registering their child in this league, agreeing to abide by the following LTFL Player and Parental Code of Conduct.

 

LTFL’s Board of Directors wishes to express to you, your child, family and friends its sincere appreciation for following this code.

 

1.      Academics:  Each player and parent recognizes that academic learning at school is first and foremost.

 

2.      Zero Tolerance for Abuse:  LTFL has a zero tolerance policy for verbal or other abuse to its referees, coaches and players.  Violation of this policy will result in the immediate expulsion of the violator from the football complex and/or permanent expulsion of the violator from the football complex.  Complaints concerning league referees or players shall be made in writing and presented to the LTFL Board through the coach of the player’s team.  Complaints concerning league coaches shall be made in writing and presented to the LTFL Board. 

 

3.      Timely and Regular Attendance:  Each parent and/or guardian and the player understand that learning from coaching and the team concept, can only be done with regular participation in team practices and games. Parents and/or guardians and players agree to attend in a timely manner, each practice and game.  Players will be excused from practice or games, with permission of the coach, for academic and family activities or in the event of an emergency or illness.  Failure to attend practices or games may result in sanctions to the player at LTFL’s discretion. Parents and/or guardians further agree that their child may not be dropped off at any league function without a parent or responsible adult at least 18 years of age to insure the safety and emotional welfare of the child. 

 

 4.  Good Sportsmanship Standard:  Each parent and/or guardian and player agrees to abide the standards of good sportsmanship. All participants, parents and family will support and play by LTFL rules.  Players, parents, family and friends will refrain from the use of profanity, trash talking, fighting or substance abuse at the football complex. This policy is in effect before, during and after any league function. This includes comments made in any public forum that demeans, embarrasses and/or questions the character of any player, the league, any of its volunteers or officials.

 

 5.  To protect the safety of the players, all parents, family & friends will remain at least five (5) yards behind the out of bounds lines of the fields during all games Violations of these standards may include an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty to the player’s team and the expulsion of the violator from a practice, a game, or the league on a temporary or permanent basis as LTFL deems appropriate.

 

I HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY ALL THE POINTS LISTED ON THIS DOCUMENT. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE STANDARDS OF CONDUCT ARE ENFORCED EQUALLY AND WITHOUT PREJUDICE OR MALICE.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY STATEMENT

 

THAT I UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THE RISKS THAT ARE INVOLVED IN THE SPORT OF FULL CONTACT TACKLE FOOTBALL OR CHEERLEADING.

 

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT, WHILE THESE INJURIES MAY NOT BE COMMON OCCURRENCES, SERIOUS INJURIES CAN OCCUR WHILE PLAYING THE GAME OF FOOTBALL OR CHEERLEADING.

 

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MEDICAL INSURANCE IS NOT OFFERED BY LTFL AND ANY MEDICAL COSTS INCURRED DUE TO INJURIES SUSTAINED AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATION IN THIS LEAGUE WILL BE MY RESPONSIBILITY.

 

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT LTFL HAS NOT SUPPLIED ANY PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT TO MY REGISTERED PARTICIPANT. THE ONLY PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT THAT WAS OFFERED WAS A STANDARD MOUTH GUARD SOLD AT THE LEAGUE CONCESSION STAND.

 

 I UNDERSTAND THAT IF MY CHILD HAS CORRECTIVE BRACES ON THEIR TEETH OR OTHER DENTAL APPLIANCES THAT I SHOULD CONSULT MY CHILDS DENTIST FOR SPECIAL MOUTH GUARDS.

 

I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE ALL THE PROPER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR THE CHILD I AM REGISTERING.

 

I AFFIRM THAT MY CHILD HAS BEEN MEDICALLY CLEARED TO PARTICIPATE. I WILL INFORM THE LEAGUE OF ANY HEALTH CONCERNS, REGARDING MY CHILD. I WILL INFORM LTFL, IN THE EVENT MY CHILD NEEDS ATTENTION DUE TO ILLNESS OR INJURY.

 

 

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP FOOTBALL LEAGUE (LTFL)

GRADE, AGE AND WEIGHT GUIDELINES

 

JUNIOR TACKLE LEAGUE (FIRST AND SECOND GRADE)

AGE AND GRADE GUIDELINES:

1.  PLAYER MUST BE IN THE FIRST OR SECOND GRADE, DURING THE SEASON

2.  A PLAYER MUST BE 6 YEARS OF AGE AND NOT OLDER THAN 8 YEARS OF    AGE BY JUNE 1ST OF THE CURRENT YEAR.

WEIGHT GUIDELINES

1.   BALL ADVANCING POSITION 72 LBS  Players over  72 pounds can not play in a ball advancing position

 

 

THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE TACKLE LEAGUE

AGE GUIDELINES:

1.  PLAYER MUST BE IN THE THIRD OR FOURTH GRADE, DURING THE SEASON

2.   A PLAYER MAY NOT BE OLDER THAN 10 YEARS OF AGE BY JUNE 1ST OF THE CURRENT YEAR

WEIGHT GUIDELINES:

1.      BALL ADVANCING POSITION 95 LBS. Players over  95 pounds can not play in a ball advancing position

 

 

FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE TACKLE LEAGUE

AGE GUIDELINES:

1.  PLAYER MUST BE IN THE FIFTH OR SIXTH GRADE, DURING THE SEASON

2.   A PLAYER MAY NOT BE OLDER THAN 12 YEARS OF AGE BY JUNE 1ST OF THE CURRENT YEAR

WEIGHT GUIDELINES:

1.  BALL ADVANCING POSITION 115LBS. Players over  115 pounds can not play in a ball advancing position

2.  SINGLE STRIPER 170 LBS MAXIMUM .

ALL LTFL RULES ARE INTENDED TO PROMOTE A SAFE, REWARDING PLAYER EXPERIENCE.  THE BOARD SHALL MODIFY RULES, IF SIZE, SPEED AND ABILITY CAUSE PLAYER SAFETY CONCERNS.
