RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR GYM HOCKEY LEAGUE
League Organizers reserve the right to make any rule changes, alterations or ammendments as warranted. Any changes will be discussed and/or consulted with GMs.

- FULL TIME Players that do not wear league jerseys will receive a ONE MINUTE penalty, at the start of the game. If the player shows up late once he steps on to the floor without the right jersey he will receive a penalty. Rule does not apply in playoffs and for goalies.
- A goal can only be assisted by one player; not two.
- Face-offs are after a goal or whenever referee sees fit
- If goalie freezes the ball; that team will take the ball behind the net and will have to make one pass forward to resume game. Player has 5 seconds to make the pass. If does not happen within 5 seconds referee will blow whistle and the opposing team takes ball behind there net; same rule applies
- If ball goes over a bench; located in each corner of the gym; the team that DID NOT shoot the ball over the bench will have possession of the ball (5 sec rule applies)
- If there is a tie there is no OT; just a shootout (3 shooters). Shootout winner gets 2 points, shootout loser gets 1 point
- ALL STICKS MUST HAVE NON MARKING TAPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THERE BLADES; no shoes or sticks that mark the gym floor are allowed to be used.
- MERCY RULE; If a team is winning by 8 goals; opposing team will forfeit.
- If player gets 3 penalties during a game; he is kicked out after 3rd penalty
- If a goalie gets hit in the helmet, automatic whistle and opposing team's ball (ie: the team that took the shot, not the goalie's team). If the referee does not see it, the play will continue.

- Last place team gets eliminated
- Semi Finals will be the same as regular season game except one timeout per half (two 20 min halfs; run-time). 5minute OT and then shootout.
- The Finals will be two 20 minute halves; stop time. One timeout for each team per half. 10 minute OT and shootout after OT (3 shooters)
SUSPENSIONS
- If a player starts a fight; automatic game expulsion and suspended indefinitely; pending a review by the committee members.
REPLACEMENT PLAYERS
- PLAYER REPLACEMENT; The only time you can find a replacement player is if you do not have 4 players and a goalie the day of your game. For example; if your team has 4 players and a goalie, you are not allowed a RP. If you have 3 players and a goalie you may ask the league organizer for a RP. The League must approve of the RP.
- GOALIE REPLACEMENT; If your goalie is missing; one of the players from your team is allowed to go in net. If you know ahead of time that your goalie will be missing, the league will get a replacement goalie for you or will approve of a replacement if you have one in mind.
-
FULL TIME PLAYER REPLACEMENT
If a player can no longer play due to injury or personal reasons; the GM has until the start of GAME 4, to replace him. The replacement player must pay league fees before playing. If a player cannot play due to injury or personal reasons after the start of GAME 4 the team will have to play short for the rest of the season.
When a player is being replaced for the entire season; 2 of the 4 GMs must agree to the replacement. The League Commissioner can overrule any replacement; if he sees it unfair.
- SEASON RPs will get a penalty if they do not have a league jersey. Replacement goalies do not get a penalty if they do not have a league jersey.
- SINGLE GAME RP DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE LEAGUE JERSEY.
