General Manager
- Assumes full responsibility for the operation of Motor City Shamrocks. The General Manager receives all mail, supplies, and other communications from the Vendors. The General Manager must see to it that Shamrock personnel are properly briefed on all phases of the organization. The General Manager is the contact between Vendors, teams, players and parents.
Director of Player Development
- Analyze opponents and collaborate with the coaches in preparation of competition strategy.
- Have signs correlate throughout the organization. Have coaching styles crossover to the same concept as far as base running, pitching, hitting, etc.
- Create and implement individual development plans to ensure athlete’s needs are addressed and met as they relate to personal goals.
- Develop and monitor the conditioning and training program to enhance individual and team potential.
- In collaboration with academic services, guide and promote the academic success of student-athletes, providing a positive atmosphere conducive to the social and academic growth of the student-athlete.
- Under the direction of the General Manager, review recruiting tactics, prepare general correspondence, and assist in all areas of recruiting as allowed by the MHSAA (high school players).
Director of Events/Fundraising
- Plan and organize promotional, business and social events.
- Maintaining budget and tracking expenditures/transactions.
- Meet with clients to work out event details.
- Plan with the client and their team to match the needs and support of the shamrock organization.
- Scout and book locations.
- Have food and entertainment covered in the cost of the event if needed.
- Have support staff scheduled for entire event including cleanup.
Director of baseball operations
- Represents coaches/managers in league and tournaments.
- Presents a coach/ manager training budget
- Gains the support and funds necessary to implement a shamrock training program
- Orders and distributes training materials to players, coaches and managers
- Coordinates mini-clinics
- Serves as the contact person for Mental toughness and its manager-coach education
Tournament Director
- Recruit teams and clubs to attend tournaments
- Communicate with General Manager to retain teams in over the years
- Attend tournaments and other events to interact with team officials.
- Assist General Manager to develop leads for new business in your area.
- Assist in the recruitment of college coaches to attend events operations.
- Process tournament to host applications (Faast, USSSA, Etc.)
- Set-up tournaments within Tourney Machine, or other application software
- Develop tournament schedules to account for team requirements,
- Referee/umpires availability
- Field availability
- Coaching conflicts (meeting the needs of teams attending)
- On-site tournament director for various events
- Communicate scheduling with referee assignor for field loading and scheduling
- Marketing/Sponsorship – acquire sponsors for events, donations or attractions
- Develop contacts database for teams, coaches, and administrators
- Assist Marketing with development of marketing materials
- Assist Marketing in the development of event marketing plan
Scheduling Director
- Meets with Waterford parks and rec to discuss dates needed. (Sara Frederick)
- Plans and coordinates the scheduling of all shamrock practices and games (according to teams availability).
- Works with the shamrock coaches to insure that the proper practice and game schedules are posted for all managers.
League Director (winter and summer)
- Coordinates with coaches of nobf/OYA meetings
- Ensures all paperwork is turned in at appropriate time
- Stays up to date on rules and policy changes
- Assists general manager in Coordinating payment schedule with vendors
Safety Officer
- Coordinates all safety activities
- Ensures safety in player training
- Ensures safe playing conditions
- Coordinates reporting and prevention of injuries
- Solicits suggestions for making conditions safer
Personal trainer
- Creates strength and conditioning program for shamrock and other travel baseball players
- Creates an arm care program
Hitting Coach
- Private lessons

Clinics and Baseball Drop In Director
- Responsible for Shamrock Manager, Coach, and Player integrated training
- Schedules seminars and clinics for appropriate ages.
- Provides consistent coaching guidelines for Managers to follow at each level of play.
- Helps in recruitment of the younger players (5-7yr old).
Destinations Tournament
- Coordinates long term plan for teams over the years
- Sets payment schedule
- Organizes fundraiser events in correlation with events already going on with shamrock teams
- Ensures hotels are taking care of at stay to play events
Uniform Director
- Works with the designated vendor to make sure that uniforms are ordered, tracked, and delivered to shamrock teams.
- Assists each age group coach in the distribution of all shamrock uniforms.
Spirit wear
- Works with the designated vendor to make sure that shamrock Spirit Wear is ordered, tracked, and delivered to shamrock player/parents.
- Works to provide for the sale and distribution of shamrock Spirit Wear in support of the shamrock Program.
Social Media Member
- Become a editor and promote the shamrocks
- Post pictures of highlights of baseball plays, events and other accomplishments
Website/Shamrock information Admin
- Sets up and manages official website
- Sets up online registration and ensures the league rosters are uploaded
- Assigns online administrative rights to other volunteers
- Encourages creation of team web sites to managers, coaches, and parents;
- Ensures that league news are updated online on a regular basis
- Collects, posts, and distributes important information
Marketing/Public Relations director
- Oversees new player recruitment efforts
- Develops and maintains a league marketing plan focused on player recruitment and retention
- Oversees efforts to market new teams of play and initiatives offered by the league;
- works on social media accoutns to promote the interests of shamrocks
- coordinates efforts to make the Shamrocks visible in the community year round.

Field and Equipment Director
- Purchases (general manager approval), inventories, maintains, and disposes of all league baseball equipment.
- Issues equipment to teams at the outset of the season, maintains accountability for such, and receives it back again at the close of the season.
- Regularly inspects equipment and makes decisions on the replacement of worn, damaged, lost equipment.
- When fields are acquired, schedule a clean up day
- Have a volunteer maintenance day of fixing field conditions in the spring
- Hold coaches accountable for raking raised pitchers mounds
Player Agent/Tryout
- Conducts annual tryouts, and help with player selection, assists General Manager in checking birth records and eligibility of players;
- Coordinates the transfer/adds of players to the website.
Combine and scout day
- Create a high level tryout schedule
- Grade and rate kids to promote to colleges
- Work with Oakland yard to setup a combine day
- Work with PBR to get them to Oakland yard for a scout day
- Promote to college coaches about a scout day
Concession Manager
- Maintains the operation of concession facilities;
- Organizes the purchase of concession products
- Responsible for the management of the concession sales at Tournament events
- Schedules volunteers to work the concession booth during Tournament events
- Reviews concession related offers and bulk-purchasing opportunities; and organizes, tallies and keeps records of concession sales and purchases.
