• Knowledgeable and aware of rules, regulations, and positions concerning volleyball.
• Demonstrates commitment to a positive, competitive, flexible program
• Understands and demonstrates proper form and fundamentals of volleyball
• Demonstrates loyalty and support to the team and individuals on the team
• Assists and be accountable to the overall program
• Assist. Coach assumes responsibilities of the head coach in the absence of the head coach.
• Accompanies, supervises, and directs the assigned team to all games and practices
• Holds a current first aid and CPR card
• Exemplifies good sportsmanship and is held to the same sportsmanship expectations as the team
• Is available for coaching meetings and continuing education workshops
• Jr Coaches will assist with our developmental program (Lil Venoms)

Essential Functions

• Instructs students in the fundamentals of the sport s/he is coaching
• Knows how to use positive, focused teaching for player motivation
• Maintains facilities and equipment
• Supervises team players at practice, tournaments, and during travel
• Always sets a good, positive example for participants and fans to follow, exemplifying the highest moral and ethical behavior; Instruct participants in proper sportsmanship responsibilities and demand they make sportsmanship a high priority; respect judgment of tournament officials, abide by rules of the event and display no behavior that could incite fans; treat opposing coaches, participants, fans and media members with respect; be a role model to the team to enforce standards; and develop a method to publicly recognize good sportsmanship
• Reports tournament results to League Statistician and director as needed

Minimum Qualifications
• First Aid and CPR certified,
• IMPACT certified. and take officiating clinics 
• Prior playing/ coaching experience needed for Head Coach position
