Owls to Play in Indiana Elite All Star Games on June 23rd

John Rivera and Logan Richey will play in the 4A Junior game.  Coach Richey and Coach Henkle will be the coaches.  Tanner Belcher, Gabe Jordan and Billy Rayburn will play in the 4A Senior game.  Coach Richey will also coach in that game. 

 

Zack Brown Drafted By Chicago Cubs in 38th Round & is Named North/South All Star

 

Owls to Play in Post Your T All Star Game on June 8th

Tanner Belcher and Billy Rayburn have been named Post Your T All Stars.  They will play in an all star game on June 8th against other players around the state.  Coach Richey was also chosen to coach the team.

 

Tanner Belcher Commits to Franklin College

Tuesday at 3:00 in 402 Tanner will make it official that he is going to attend Franklin College and play baseball for Coach Marshall.

Owls Runner Up at Carmel Invitational

The Owls had two come from behind wins against Park Tudor and Martinsville before falling to host Carmel in the finals.  We scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning in both wins.  Mitchell Pollmann was the winning pitcher in both games.

Owls Partner With Leadership Jackson County

Members of the Middle School, 9th and JV teams helped Leadership Jackson County on Saturday April 27th at Kidsfest.  The Owls helped with the "Hunger Stops Here" project.  It was great to be able to help with such a great program.

Owls Win 2nd Annual Owl Invitational

The Owls defeated Clarksville 10-0 in game 1 and North Harrison 5-3 in the Championship.  Gabe Jordan was the winning pitcher in game 1 throwing 5 innings giving up 1 hit and striking out 8.  Billy Rayburn was the winner of game 2 throwing 2 innings of relief.  Zack Brown started game two and gave up no hits and no runs while striking out 12.  Leading hitters on the day were Tanner Belcher, John Rivera, Zack Brown, Holden Fleetwood, and Gabe Jordan.

 

Owls are Preseason #24 according to PBR

Youth League Pitching Clinic March 3 & 10

We had over 75 3rd thru 8th graders come to our 1st Annual Youth League Pitching Camp.  It was a great time and we had an outstanding coaching staff there to help the campers.  Seymour Baseball was represented from the 1960's to our current team.  We are already looking forward to doing it again next year.

 

Baseball Team Sells Over 1150 Boxes of Cookies

A Special Thank You to Matt Gard and Adrenaline Fundraiser for a great program.  The players sold boxes to raise money for the program and they received incentives for the number they sold.  John Rivera was the leading seller with 85 boxes sold.  Great Job John and the rest of the team.

 

Apparel Order A Success

For the 3rd year in a row the Seymour Baseball Program has sold over 500 pieces of apparel.  Thank you to those that helped us reach our first goal of the year.

Zack Brown Signs With the University of Kentucky

 

Alumni Game was a Success

20 former Owls showed up on Saturday to play in the alumni game.  The ages ranged from Walt Franklin (Class of 65) to Clay Pardieck and Connor Kirtley (Class of 2012).  Adam Zollman (Class of 1999) put on a show in the homerun derby by hitting 6 bombs.  It was a great day of fellowship.

John Burton Signs with Oakland City University

Seymour Catcher John Burton signed on May 21st to play at DII Oakland City University.  John will join former Owl AJ Beach at Oakland City.

 

 

 

Former Owl Jesse Wilson named first team all HCAC.

Wilson receives first career conference honor after help leading the Grizzlies to a 31-11 record.

 

Owls Finish 2nd in HHC for 2nd year in a row.
